Captain Cold, also known as Leonard Snart, is a prominent character within DC Comics. He first appeared in *Showcase* #8 in June 1957. He is typically depicted as a blue-collar criminal who leads the Rogues, a group of Flash's enemies.

Snart is defined by his pragmatism and strict code of honor among thieves. He wields a Cold Gun, a device he designed to create intense cold and ice. Unlike many other Flash villains, Captain Cold isn't driven by madness or a thirst for power, but rather by a desire for wealth and respect.
